Willington Hall enjoys a truly wonderful position at the foot of the Willington Hills, with views that stretch across miles of unspoilt Cheshire countryside to the Welsh mountains in the distance. The Elizabethan-style brick... More About Willington Hall house was actually built in 1829 and remained in the same family for over 170 years before it was bought by Diana and Stuart Begbie. The Begbies have done a splendid job of rejuvenating the interior whilst preserving the integrity of the house. The traditionally-decorated, comfy bedrooms offer oodles of space, and large windows allow the light to pour in (together with those lovely views!). The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, and there are bars in the study and drawing room for a glass of something warming; in warmer weather, drinks can be taken out on the terrace. One of Willington Hall's chief charms is the relaxed and friendly atmosphere created by the Begbies and their staff, which makes it a particular favourite with guests who value the personal touch. Peace and quiet is ensured by the rural setting and 17 acres of gardens and parkland, but Willington is also conveniently located for road, rail and air connections. The historic city of Chester is nearby, and North Wales and the Peak District are easily accessible for day trips.

The Stables are BHS approved and offer fabulous hacking opportunities in the picturesque Cheshire countryside and Delamere Forest. Lessons are also available for children and adults from beginners to advanced riders
